  4.   Las Vegas Physicist Robert Lazar has sucessfully obtained his W-2 form
  5. from Naval Intelligence which verifies his formal employment with them but
  6. this isn't helping his court case much....
  7.   Originally scheduled for August 6, his sentencing was postponed to August
  8. 13th and once more delayed until August 17th.  Lazar, with no known criminal
  9. record, could have been sentenced to up to 6 years in the Nevada State 
  10. Prison.  Lazar first gained attention by publicly disclosing claims of his 
  11. one-time involvement in UFO/ET projects in the reputed S-4 section of 
  12. "Dreamland" [aka, The Skunk Works, Area 51] in the Nevada desert, a highly
  13. protected test site of the U.S.' advanced military craft.  Lazar says he was
  14. hired by the military to replace a member of the crew which was working on
  15. a extraterrestrial spacecraft.  The Physicist whom Lazar was replacing was
  16. allegedly killed in a nuclear mishap resulting from a bomb test utilizing
  17. the fuel "115" used by one of the extraterrestrial ships.  Lazar left the 
  18. program out of disgust over the plodding pace of the program. 
  19.   Then trouble with the law began.  As a result of a plea bargain with the
  20.   Clark County District Attorney, Lazar pleaded guilty to one charge of
  21. pandering, for admitting that he set up a computer, programmed the software,
  22. and helped install a security system for an operating brothel in Clark 
  23. County.  While prostitution is legal in some areas of Nevada, it is illegal
  24. in Clark County.
  25.   Lazar was given 6 months probation for the charge of pandering but for
  26. some reason, his passpost was taken away from him and never returned.  
  27. Early on, Lazar was being charged with having manufactured methamphetimines
  28. but this charge was thrown out of court during the preliminary hearings.
